Delegation from Korea University Visits SUSTech

A delegation from Korea University (KU), led by Prof. Yoo Yongkeun, Vice President of the Office of Planning and Budget, visited the Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) on December 10th for a meeting with Dr. Hao Chen, Executive Deputy Director of SUSTech Global. This marked the second visit of Korea University to SUSTech, underscoring the ongoing cooperation between the two institutions.

On November 29th, a delegation from The Executive Office of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Dubai Chambers, headed by Mr. Abdulla Al Remaithi, Director of Dubai Council Secretariat Department of The Executive Office, visited the Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech). SUSTech Delegation Visits HE Institutions in Portugal and Italy

From November 21 to 27, Hong Jiang, University Council Chairperson of the Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech), led a delegation to Portugal and Italy. The delegation visited the ISCTE-Instituto Universitário de Lisboa, Politecnico di Torino, and the University of Bologna to expand cooperation and partnerships.

SUSTech Delegation Attends CBIE 2024 in Ottawa

From November 3 to 8, SUSTech Vice President for Global Strategies, Professor Li Jin, was invited to join a distinguished delegation of 15 leading Chinese universities organized by the China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE). This high-level delegation traveled to Ottawa, Canada’s capital, to participate in the 2024 Annual Conference of the Canadian Bureau for International Education (CBIE 2024). At the conference's China Spotlight Session, Li Jin delivered a keynote speech, "Navigating Change: Evolving Policies and Trends in China’s Higher Education."

SUSTech Delegation Visits European Partners

From October 24 to 29, 2024, Professor Hong Jiang, Chairperson of University Council of Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech), led a delegation to Sweden and the United Kingdom. They visited Lund University, the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences and King’s College London (KCL). The visit was to strengthen SUSTech’s existing international partnerships in the region and explore opportunities for furthering academic exchange and research collaboration.

Global Youth Summer Camp at SUSTech inspires change with Shenzhen Initiative

From July 1-3, the 2024 Global Youth Summer Camp was held at the Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech). With the theme of “A New Generation, A New Future”, the camp brought together more than 200 outstanding young people from 50 countries, who, after in-depth cross-cultural exchanges, formed a consensus and released the 2024 Global Youth Shenzhen Initiative: A New Generation, A New Future.

According to the Interim Regulations for Management of SUSTech International Student Scholarships, the Undergraduate International Student Scholarship Assessment Result for Fall Semester, 2023 has been reviewed and approved by International Student Scholarship Committee and will be executed from September, 2023 to February, 2024. The assessment result will be publicized for 5 working days from September 18 to 22, 2023.

The Falling Walls Lab competition is an international forum for young innovative leaders to stimulate and encourage new ideas and solve practical problems for society. Hosting Falling Walls SUSTech was a valuable opportunity for SUSTech and anticipated that there would be further opportunities for international innovation and entrepreneurship education.
