From its inception, an international vision and the concept of internationalized education have been crucial pillars of SUSTech’s development strategy. SUSTech Global is the administrative office responsible for the university’s overall internationalization, fostering external international cooperation and communication, and implementing the university’s internationalization strategy with the aim to promote SUSTech’s internationalization and build a sustainable foundation for the SUSTech’s journey to world-class status. We strive to foster high level, multi-faceted and comprehensive exchange and cooperation with partner institutions, enhance SUSTech’s reputation and influence outside mainland China, and facilitate the training of talents with international vision, respect for multiculturalism, global competency, cross-cultural communication skills, and are dedicated to global sustainable development.
- Conceptualise SUSTech’s internationalization strategy and facilitate its implementation;
- Develop and nurture international cooperation and exchange with partners across the globe;
- Facilitate transnational education for students via exchange, study abroad programs and research internships;
- Recruit undergraduate international students and inbound exchange students, advance the internationalization of innovative talent training;
- Arrange reception of overseas delegations and manage external liaison work, organize and provide logistical support for overseas trips for university leadership;
- Provide logistical and legal support for overseas travel for faculty and staff;
- Manage international partnership conferences and symposia;
- Coordinate International Advisory Council communication, meetings, and associated promotional work;
- Promote campus internationalization and a bilingual campus environment, the international development of the school and provide advice and strategies, support the development of the internationalization of other departments and foster university-wide collaboration in international matters.
