International Student Admissions (Undergraduate)
SUSTech's first cohort of international students arrived in 2016 and we currently host students from a dozen countries, including Cambodia, Russia, Malaysia, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Vietnam, USA, South Korea, and others. SUSTech is distinguished by its international, individualized, elite undergraduate education based on the credit system, with residential colleges and dual-faculty advising. For international students, we offer courses taught in English by a highly internationalised faculty with over 90% having work or educational experience at an overseas institution. To promote cultural fusion and exchange on campus, SUSTech adopts similar standards for all students, both international and domestic, in teaching, exam requirements, educational resources, and services provided. For outstanding international students, SUSTech offers full scholarships which cover tuition fees, accommodation, insurance and living expenses.

International Student Service
We manage university-wide coordination to integrate resources and offer services to international students, based on their differentiated and individualised needs, including administrative support for visa applications and renewal, insurance, scholarships, legal policies, cultural exchanges and other affairs. SUSTech Global and the Center for International Students and Scholars facilitates international students' life on campus and helps you to feel at home in SUSTech, Shenzhen and the Greater Bay Area.
International Exchange Programs
SUSTech has developed many exchange programs with partner universities across the world. Overseas students may study at SUSTech or join scientific research projects, through short-term scientific research programs, semester programs, department research projects, short-term language & cultural exchange programs, innovation & entrepreneurship internship programs and more.
