Since its founding, SUSTech has been committed to building a nurturing and supportive environment for students in part through building international partnerships with world-class universities. Collaborative programs are developed selectively with prudent review and investigation and launched following multi-level inter-university agreements which may cover exchange programs, joint undergraduate and postgraduate programs, mutual recognition of credits, or dual awards. Students are encouraged to apply for other first-class overseas study/exchange programs deemed to fit their own academic interest or career expectations.

Study Abroad programs, as the high-level Expansion Plan of International Education, are committed to cultivating top-level innovative international talent with comprehensive competencies, including the ability to put theory into practice, connect classroom knowledge to real-life practice, as well as broadening insights and experiences out of the university context, and fostering openness and inclusivity.

Study Abroad programs serve as the overseas exchange platform for SUSTech students who may make full use of these opportunities to develop international insights out of their cross-cultural experiences. Their experiences in return will feed SUSTech's going global vision.
