Description

The Zurich-Shenzhen Quantitative Financial Risk Summer School is organized by the Institute of Risk Analysis, Prediction and Management (Risks-X) at the Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech), supported by Xinrui Business School and the University of Zurich.

The summer school will take place in August 2025 in Zurich Switzerland and Shenzhen China. Over this two-week course, more than ten top experts from academia and industry will provide courses and hands-on training. Students and practitioners who are interested in quantitative finance & risks are welcome to apply.

1. A full-time student (advanced bachelor, master level, and PhD) registered at a higher education institution outside the Chinese mainland and has a good foundation in mathematics and science.

2. Practitioners or researchers in statistics, engineering, computing, data science, etc., interested in quickly learning how to apply their domain expertise in quantitative finance.

3. Between the ages of 18 and 40 (inclusive) and in good health.

4. Fully proficient in English and able to engage in an academic setting.

Fees

4,200 CHF (Swiss part) and 6000 RMB (Shenzhen part) for current students

6,000 CHF (Swiss part) and 9000 RMB (Shenzhen part) for non-students

Cost includes two-week course tuition, teaching materials, accommodation during the stay in Shenzhen and Zurich, partial meal expenses, partial transportation, and visit expenses.

Cost does not include round-trip air tickets between Shenzhen and Zurich, visa fees, insurance fees, other meal expenses, and personal expenses during the stay in Switzerland.
