Description

The 2025 Atlanta High School Students' SUSTech Journey, organized by the Department of Chemistry at Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech), will be held in the period from May 20th to July 30th (specific time to be determined) in the vibrant city of Shenzhen, China. This ten-day project will provide an experience that inspires innovative thinking and amazing memories.

Participants will explore groundbreaking research across disciplines such as oceanography, biomedical sciences, chemistry, and physics, witnessing firsthand the innovative work at the forefront of these fields. They will gain insights into SUSTech's forward-thinking educational philosophy and remarkable achievements in both scientific research and educational practice.

During the 10-day trip, students will also experience the most advanced facilities and vibrant academic environment at SUSTech, combining cultural exchange, academic enrichment, and personal growth. Participants can also deepen their understanding of Shenzhen, this great city, and gain a deeper insight into the vast and profound history and culture of China. Furthermore, it strengthens the mutual communication and understanding between the younger generation in the two great cities (Atlanta and Shenzhen).

1. A full time students from Senior High School and Junior High School outside Chinese Mainland, and those who are interested in the science and technology and Chinese culture.

2. Participant's ages between 15 and 20 and in good health.

3. Proficient in English or Chinese.

Yes (2-5 seats, 10,000 – 40,000 RMB/person)

Fees

Domestic students: CNY18,800 per person

International students: USD 3,000 per person

Qualified students may be eligible for a merit-based scholarship

This includes all program activities, select campus facilities, meals, residential accommodation, and transportation. The accommodation will be at SUSTech.
