On April 12, 2023, Philippe Roesle, CEO and Consul of Swissnex in China, along with his delegation, visited the Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech).

Hao CHEN, Executive Deputy Director of SUSTech Global, and Ke WU, Assistant to Dean of the Institute of Risk Analysis, Forecasting and Control (Risks-X), warmly received the guests and engaged in fruitful discussions.

Hao CHEN extended a warm welcome to the guests and provided an overview of the latest developments at SUSTech. He expressed his wish to deepen international academic exchanges between SUSTech and Swiss universities and research institutions, while emphasizing the need to strengthen cooperation in research and talent cultivation.

Ke WU provided a brief overview of the development of Risks-X and acknowledged that the pandemic had impacted the collaboration between SUSTech and Swiss universities to some extent. He expressed his desire to enhance the scope and depth of the collaboration, as well as create more opportunities for cooperation and exchanges.

Philippe Roesle commended the rapid development of SUSTech and briefly introduced Swissnex in China. He proposed promoting mutual assistance and trust between Chinese and Swiss scholars to work together towards the advancement of science, technology, and education.
