University of Leeds is one of the UK’s largest research-based universities and a member of the prestigious Russell Group. Although Leeds International Summer School (LISS) is postponed until next year, students can still study with Leeds in 2020.
Choose from five programs starting on 25 May 2020. Each program lasts up to 13 weeks, consists of five courses plus an optional final assessment course for credit, and involves approximately five hours of study per week. If you want to gain credit you will pay £560 to upgrade the five courses and take the assessment. You can upgrade at any point after you join the program. Each successfully completed program (including final assessment course) is worth 10 Leeds credits (5 ECTS).
As part of your International Summer School experience, you will join an online community via Microsoft Teams. Here you will connect with other international summer school participants and take part in a weekly schedule of events.
There are five courses you can choose from:
- Causes of Human Disease
- Discovering Science
- Environmental Challenges
- Introduction to Intercultural Studies (Concept, Contact, Language and Borders Culture, Crossing, Marketing)
- MedTech (Digital Health, Genomics, Orthopaedics, AI and Medical Robots, Trends and Product Design)
*The exceptions are ‘Introduction to Intercultural Studies’ and 'MedTech' which are only available as non-credit bearing programs.

|Application procedure||1. Send the SUSTech Application Form for Online Study Abroad Summer Programs to department for review and approval. If there is difficulty in signing the Form due to the pandemic situation, students can forward the approval email from department to SUSTech Global.
2. Send the reviewed SUSTech Application Form and other required application materials to SUSTech Global at email@example.com , Email subject: Leeds Online Course + student name, number and major.
3. Join your chosen academic program of study: follow the relevant link(s) on the Leeds online information page and follow the instructions on the FutureLearn website.
